This disclosure explains how Mozie uses data from Instagram professional accounts through Meta Platform APIs for its creator-authorized media-kit dashboard. This connection requests only the two permissions listed below. It supplements our Privacy Policy and Data Deletion pages.
A creator can connect their own Instagram professional account to view an authorized media-kit dashboard. This flow runs on Mozie's creator-insights application, which requests exactly two permissions and no others:
instagram_business_basicRead the connected creator's account ID, username, name, profile image, follower count, and media count.instagram_business_manage_insightsRead aggregate reach, views, profile views, engaged accounts, interactions, saves, and shares for the connected creator's own account, plus follower location, age, and gender breakdowns when Instagram makes them available. The dashboard fetches these values from Instagram when the creator opens it. Mozie stores the account identifier, the permissions requested for this connection, connection status, and the encrypted access token needed to maintain the connection; it does not persist the returned insights payload as a separate media-kit dataset.
This flow does not request permissions to publish posts, read or send messages, follow accounts, like or comment, manage ads, run partnership ads, or manage branded content. It does not use Meta Platform APIs to obtain private insights from an Instagram account that has not authorized this connection.
Creator insights are used to show the connected creator their authorized media-kit metrics. The creator chooses whether Performance, Audience, and Rates sections appear in a PDF or an unlisted link they explicitly create. Mozie records that share action and the creator's section choices. Anyone given the link can view those selected sections without a Mozie account. Links expire after 30 days, are replaced when a new link is created, and stop working if the creator revokes sharing or disconnects Instagram. The private dashboard itself is never shared. Authorized users can see only the data available to their creator account.
Service providers may process Meta Platform Data only as needed to host, secure, and operate these features under contractual and platform restrictions. Mozie does not sell Meta Platform Data, transfer it to data brokers, use it to build advertising audiences, or use it to train generalized AI models.
Credentials are encrypted at rest, data is encrypted in transit, and access is restricted to the connection owner and service components that need it. Disconnecting creator insights attempts provider revocation and deletes the stored token.
You can also remove Mozie from Instagram's Apps and Websites settings. Supported Meta deletion callbacks and verified requests are processed under Mozie's deletion process. We remove covered active data without undue delay and follow any shorter deadline required by applicable platform policy or law.
Mozie's handling of data received through Meta Platform APIs is subject to the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies. Questions or deletion requests can be sent to [email protected].
